All Lumberton ISD substitute teachers must attend a LISD Substitute Workshop. To attend the workshop, you will need to apply online to this job posting.

 

Our next Substitute Teacher Workshop is Wednesday, March 7, 2018. The cost of the workshop is $50 - which must be paid prior to attending the workshop. We accept cash (exact amount) and checks made payable to Lumberton ISD. Payment can be made at the LISD Administration Building open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You may also pay the registration fee online at https://www.ticketracker.com/store/item?catalogItemId=12269

 

Please bring the following documents to the administration building prior to the workshop:

     1. Valid TxDL

     2. Social Security card

     3. High School or College transcript

Registration is not considered complete until all of the above mentioned documents are turned in.

Date:          Wednesday, March 7, 2018

Location:     LISD Administration Building (121 South Main in Lumberton)

Time:          8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

 

The following steps outline the LISD substitute teacher hiring process:

 

  1. Submit a full application for a substitute teacher on our Employment page
  2. Register and attend an LISD Substitute Workshop. If you submit a certificate of attendance from an area substitute workshop, we will waive the workshop fee (attendance is still required)
  3. Background check: a) LISD will request a fingerprinting FastPass, b) LISD will conduct a background check after fingerprinting has been completed
  4. The substitute candidate will complete 6 hours of voluntary observation on LISD campuses after background has been cleared
  5. Return the signed Observation hours form to the LISD Administration office
  6. LISD Human Resource department will set-up the new substitute to begin working
