Primary Purpose:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology, works with the Information Technology team to specify, select, install, configure, system manage, and operate all server hardware and software for Lumberton ISD. Works as part of the Information Technology Services team to maintain all server-related assets, applications, and services. Performs other related duties as assigned to support an effective and thorough educational program for the students at Lumberton ISD.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of LAN and WAN topologies and architecture.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft server, Microsoft Active Directory, PowerShell, and Google Suit.

Strong working knowledge of configuring and maintaining VMware and virtual environments.

Working knowledge of Server and PC operating systems - such as Windows 2008 - 2019, PC operating systems such as Windows 10, Chromebook, and iPads.

Working knowledge PC hardware and components, including processors, motherboards, accessories, cards, peripherals.

Working knowledge of IP Telephony

Working knowledge of PC/LAN, application software including word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), (MS Outlook), and Goggle suite.

Experience in configuring and running Microsoft DHCP and DNS services.

Strong working knowledge of managing multiple linked databases, disaster recovery, and development of bulk data import/export procedures with SQL and Python.

Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations; standard office equipment including personal computers and peripherals. Ladders and powered tools.

Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; ladder climb

Lifting: Regular moderate lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds); occasional heavy lifting and carrying (55 pounds and over)

Environment: Work is performed in an office environment; frequent on-call and after-hours work; districtwide travel

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; emotional control under stress
